This song just came up on my iTunes and I forgot how much I love it. Plus, Angus is awesome!

COFFEE SHOP DOGS...
Ringo at Farley's Coffee House
English Bulldog at Delancey Street Coffee Shop
I want to do a photo series of dogs that I meet outside coffee shops. Here are the first two. The photos are taken with my iPhone, so I apologize for the quality. Stay tuned for more in the future.
RICH COLMAN...
By now, I am sure you have heard of Rich Colman. If not, you should be ashamed of yourself. Seriously. This is one talented artist. If you want an introduction to his work, he recently put out a book called I Was Just Leaving. The book is quite impressive. He has a solo show opening at White Walls on September 8th. All the cool kids will be there.
SPEAKING OF...
Zachary Rossman has some beautiful (and troubling) work on his site. He also has one of the best names for a series of work - "gelatinous visceral burden". Brilliant.
TRES TREES...
Just found this awesome little print by Zachary Rossman at Little Paper Planes. Co check out all of the cool art, zines, papergoods, clothing, jewelery and such that they sell.
GRASS HUT SHOW....
My friend Bwana Spoons owns a great little shop in Portland called Grass Hut. He and his buddy, Scrappers, are having a show called "Welcome to California", that opens next Friday. This is the first show for these two gents together at Grass Hut. It will include new works, a mural, a secret installation, and california customs. I was lucky enough to grab this piece from Scrappers at Comic-Con this summer. So rad.
A little more about Grass Hut -
We are a studio, gallery, shop. The studio is home to Bwana Spoons and Justin "Scrappers" Morrison. We use the space to paint, doodle, and goof around. Folks like Bwana, Scrappers, Le Merde, Apak, Martin Ontiveros, Luke Ramsey, Cupco, Tim Biskup and many more help keep the gallery walls fresh and sincere. Grass Hut is also home to the finest indie-published zines, crafts, limited edition prints and random other stuff.
Both of these guys are great people, and are VERY talented. So go check out the show, and help support 2 good dudes.

THE ANIMATED WORLD...
Check out the work of Ryan Bubnis. He currently resides in Portland, Oregon with his wife Cecilia and their cat Mr. Boo.
I HEART CANADA...
This is the work of Ben Tour, one of Canada's greatest exports - aside from Molson Ice, that is. At only 29 years old, this guy has shown at some of the most influential galleries in North America - BLK/MRKT, Lineage, Gallery 1988, OX-OP, Camp Fig, The Lab 101, etc... Enjoy

JUST LISTEN...
This is the candidate from South Carolina competing for Miss Teen USA 2007. I think it's time to start sterilizing people. Thanks for the link Corie.
ON TWO FEET...
Grammar be damned!
ORFN, San Francisco's most prolific writer, strikes again.
This is just sad. And technically, I don't think "...of Jennifer" is correct.
I guess jaundiced lips are in this Fall.
I'm all for the Boys & Girls Club...
but this kid scares the hell out of me.
This is what really happened to John Ritter (a.k.a. Jack Tripper). He was eaten by a bush, but the media won't tell you that. Notice the corduroy blazer... that's all the proof I need.
Why not dress up that ol' door bell?
This is the result of laying on the couch and staring at a lamp for too long.

ANEE'S BIRTHDAY...
Anee and I met up with Judd, Brett and Nathan at The Irish Bank. Can you guess which two of these people are brothers? Look closely.
Brett and Miss Sassy Pants
He says he's gay, but this boob grazing would tell you differently. Hmm... maybe he is on to something.
Annoying people on the BART ride to The Mission.
Judd rockin' a fashion pose. Nathan rockin' a "sober" pose.
Somebody tell these idiots that those are fake roses.
This was my birthday present for Anee (along with the awesome roses). It's a ceramic plate with a wizard fighting two dragons, with crystals all around him and a castle in the distance. Whoever said that $3 can't buy fine art, never went to Mission Blvd.
YOU KNOW HOW I KNOW YOU'RE GAY?
This is one of the best scenes in the "40 Year Old Virgin." If you get the DVD, watch the extras because there are even more outtakes from this scene. Enjoy.
I HEART PAT BENATAR...
It's true... I do. I think the song Hell is for Children is amazing, even though I have no clue as to what in god's name it means. The guitar player in this video is so rad. Check out those moves! Actually, I think that is her husband, Neil Giraldo. And Love is a Battlefield is just a classic. The original girl power video - because nothing tells a pimp "No!" like a dance routine.

THE WU DOES IT AGAIN...
If you haven't heard Fishscale, the latest from the Ghostface Killah, run out and buy it tonite. Also, check out this track from a few years back - so damn good.
DRIVING HOME...
I've never seen anyone hate on a beer this hard. Damn.
If this Garfield and Odie painting is graffiti, it is my new favorite. If not, what the hell is this truck used for?
THE WONDERS OF PHOTOSHOP...
Above is a typical photoshoot here at Hybrid. This is for the upcoming Super7 book. The first 3 shots show you how real we keep it. The final shot is after working some Photoshop magic, and hiding all of the little props. Pretty sure you don't care, but I thought I'd show ya anyhow.

In the new issue of Print Magazine (Sept/Oct 2007), two projects that Dora and I designed were selected for the "Best Business Graphics" section. Pretty cool. Woo hoo!
CHUCK E. WHAT?!...
This guy bought a bunch of old Chuck E. Cheese mechanical animals that play music and reprogrammed them. Some of these videos are just amazing. Be sure to check out Pop Lock & Drop It and Der Kommisar. Thanks for the link Ed.
RENAISSANCE WOMAN...
When she's not designing or illustrating for a cornucopia of companies in New York, my friend Corie Wallace is making everything under the sun. She has made jewelery, costumes and clothing for many-a-party from L.A. to N.Y. One of her latest pieces (and one of my favorites) is this Pantone chip necklace. Corie custom makes these pieces, depending on the person. Keep your eyes open for more from her on this blog. Also, let me know if you are interested in this or any of the other amazing pieces she makes.
THE KING OF CONCERT POSTERS...
The Bay Area's Jason Munn is the hands down King of Concert Posters. Check out his work, The Small Stakes. I spoke to him at a Strike Anywhere show once at Gilman and asked him how he hooked up with the band. He told that he didn't. He just silkscreened the posters and showed up at the gig, hoping they would let him sell them. Of course, they did.
