ONE NIGHT IN GOLDEN...

About a month ago, Scooter played a great show in Golden at The Buffalo Rose. The place was packed full of friends, family and fans. I think this was one of the best shows I've ever seen Scooter play, and I've seen a few. Also on the line-up that night was The Denver City Saltlicks. Stand-up bass and a woman playing a washboard... what's not to love?

Oh yeah, and the bar has a unique attraction. You know those kids toy machines with the big claw? It has one of those... but with live lobsters! For a mere $2, you too can try to grab some nasty old-ass lobster. Mmmmmm...

SPEAKING OF MIKE...

Check out Mike's Pink Couch Session over at If You Make It. That voice is amazing... and painful. If you dig Mike's sound (and you should), go to liveslikemine.suburbanhomerecords.com and download his new record for FREE.

"Both Mike Hale and Suburban Home Records had made the decision to give away his 2nd album away for free digitally in hopes that people everywhere might take advantage of the free music. We hope that if you like what you hear, you might consider purchasing a CD, an LP, or offering a donation."

MIKE HALE STREAMING PLAYER...

I've always thought of Ralph over at Suburban Home as a bit of a dolt, a dullard if you will. But then he creates this new Mike Hale streaming audio player and totally redeems himself! Great music from a great guy, now at your fingertips. Please put it wherever you can put html and make some waves in independent music.

SUNDAY NIGHT WITH GOOD FRIENDS...

Sunday was a damn good day here in Denver. Not only did I get to spend the afternoon with Chelsea at the awesome Denver Zoo (photos to come), but some friends rolled into town on tour. Ninja Gun and Mike Hale joined my buddies Andy Thomas and Only Thunder for a rock n' roll extravaganza at 3 Kings Tavern. A lot of good people showed up and the show was a ton of fun. It's always great to see the Ninja Gunners and Mike. They are truly some of the most genuinely nice and sincere people I have ever met. Below are some photos from the show and a few videos. Sorry about the lighting, it was pretty dark in there. As always, stop by my YouTube page to see more live music.

For some reason, I really like this grainy picture of Andy. It reminds me of his music, in a good way.

Andy Thomas... live!

Mike Hale had an incredible set of soft and sober tunes. I'm loving the new record... it's painful but honest. Congrats, dude.

Mr. Hale and I chattin' it up in the green room at 3 Kings.

Backstage with my amigos... Ninja Gun. This may be the best photo of Coody, ever.
