RANDUMB PHOTOS...

It was such a nice day out today, I thought "Hey, why not cruise the alleys and take some randumb photos?" So I did. Enjoy.

SAY CHEESE...

After scrolling through Jeremy & Claire Weiss' revised photography portfolio, it just reminded me why I love the work of Day 19. These kids are definitely on my favorites list.

You gotta love the metal kids.

Cee-lo of Gnarls Barkley... so good.

MORE THAN A FEELING...

David Hasselhoff + crack cocaine = this video.
This is the single best video I have EVER seen.

ANDY THOMAS PRESENTS...

Last week, my friend Andy "Totally" Thomas presented his first showcase at the Meadowlark and it was a damn good time. The line-up that night was Andy Thomas, Big Timber, Mike Marchant and Big Flirt. I just finished posting 7 videos of his acoustic performance on my YouTube page. You should definitely check them out because Andy gets better every time he plays.

Also, if you want to hear Andy's deepest thoughts... check out his Drunk Dial to Suburban Home. Good stuff.

HITTIN' THE SLOPES...

Every year, the whole gang at Ellen Bruss Design takes a day off work to head up to the boss' home on Copper Mountain for a night of drinking and skiing/boarding the following day. To celebrate the event, we make an annual "ski day" t-shirt. I designed the tee this year and I figured that if it had to say "ski" on it, at least it could be kinda scary. Luckily, everyone liked it. Whew.

LIKE BEING A KID AGAIN...

The new Where The Wild Things Are trailer looks AWESOME!!! I remember being a kid and always wishing I could have adventures like Max. Directed by Spike Jonze, this adaptation of Maurice Sendak's book looks great. It hits the theaters on October 16, 2009... and you can bet I will be there opening night!

NOT THE SAME OLD...

This video was a school assignment by Tomas Nilsson, to reinterpret the fairytale Little Red Riding Hood. As far as informational graphics go, this is one of the best things I've seen in a while. Enjoy.

NEW EXHIBIT AT THE INK LOUNGE...

The Ink Lounge has a new exhibit opening next Friday, April 3rd - All Creatures Great and Small, the art of Jonathan & Valerie Nicklow.

Here is a little blurb about the show...
"Relief prints and fabric art blend into visual sweetness for All Creatures Great & Small. Bunnies, bears, buddhas and other animalesque beings smile, grimace and meditate through hand carved linoleum prints stitched on layers of fabric. Don’t miss the chance to wander into their whimsical world."

NEW BOOK, NEW VIDEOS...

Charly "the city mouse" Fasano has done it again. He just released another Fast Geek Empire book, the Fast Geek Reader: A Collection of Poetry and Short Fiction. The book release party was at the Fancy Tiger store on Broadway and many of the authors read excerpts. My buddy Scooter James played some acoustic tunes for the crowd.

One of my favorite parts of the book is from Charly's piece called "And No One Washed Their Hands"...
"He's wearing hot pink shorts
He stands in the corner of the el train station
Next to the turnstiles
Up on the tips of his toes
A pissing ballerina
Master of puddles
He acts like nothing happened here
Nothing happened here because nobody gives a shit
Nothing happened here because I am the only one that sees him
His strut towards the train says finished business
As he touches everything along the way."

I posted some new videos of Scooter's performance on my YouTube page. Check em out. Also, be sure to pick up the book.

The book, Fast Geek Reader.

The man, Charly Fasano.

The music, Scooter James.

I LOVE THIS DOG...

I saw this dog on Letterman's Stupid Pet Tricks about a week ago and I couldn't stop laughing. Enjoy.
