Yup, Magnus Randell's Inquisition with Michael Sieben is pretty weird... but, Sieben is still one of my favorite artists.

BRIT PUP(ETEERS)...
Coldplay... they're not exactly my style. I've always hated these guys, but they have a new video for the song Litii that is actually pretty cool. Check it out.
KATIE GETS URBAN...
Never has there been a more natural pairing for an interview than last week's Lil' Wayne and Katie Couric sit down. She nails it when starting the interview by talking about his teeth and saying "they're very sparkly". Then, they head over to the lanes and do a little bowling. Apparently, the fact that Lil' Weezy has 4 custom bowling balls is quite newsworthy. The most awkward thing to me is that Wayne calls her "Miss Katie". Now... Lil' Wayne is one of my favorite hip hop artists. Anyone who can use the line "... it's Murder She Wrote, like Angela Lansbury" is a genius in my book, but this interview was a god damn joke.
Check out the interview here and here.
LAST NIGHT'S PARTY...
Here are a few photos from last night's art party at Suburban Home. I always intend to take more pics, but last night I saw too many familiar faces and spent the night chatting with a ton of good peeps. I finally got to meet some new friends, via my YouTube page - Briks and Justin. Thanks for coming out, kids... you guys are awesome. Also, the Continental Club re-opened last night under its new ownership and name, One Eyed Jacks. A group of us headed down there to check out the spot. Looks exactly the same, just a little more rockabilly and one less pool table.
Thanks again Virgil, for always putting on a good party... and the Que Bueno was dee-lish!
The cool kids... my lady, my buddy Aaron Thackeray and rockstar Sara.
You can't say Sub Home doesn't throw a classy shindig. Mmmmm... nachos, lil' smokies and hot wings. It was the perfect match for the cooler full of Mad Dog 20/20, Boone's Farm and box wine. No joke.
It didn't take long for the shotgun challenge to take place. Kap, Virgil and Joey going for gold!
The creep cam. Ralph and the gang hooked up a time lapse camera aimed directly at the crotches of everyone in the front room. I can't wait to see that footage.
Amazing live photography from artist (and good dude) Aaron Thackeray. Sorry about the bad photos.
Some great collage pieces from artist/designer extraordinaire Aaron Ray. Again, sorry for the bad photos.
Large cityscapes from Brandon Proff.
OH YEAH, ZOMBIES...
"Two city construction road signs near the University of Texas were hacked Monday morning warning the residents of Austin that a zombie attack was imminent." From Wooster Collective.
CREEPY COOL...
I just found the work of Alexandros Vasmoulakis on Wooster Collective. Take a minute to check out his beautifully gestural paintings. The title of the piece above is "I Love You (me neither)"... genius.
THIS IS RIDICULOUS...
The Associated Press has decided to go after Shepard Fairey for copyright infringement for the use of the Obama image. "The Associated Press has determined that the photograph used in the poster is an AP photo and that its use required permission," the AP's director of media relations, Paul Colford, said in a statement. I'm not sure how this is even being taken seriously considering that the image is an illustration, not a photo. Nice try AP, better luck next time. Read the rest of the story here.
STUDIO VISIT...
The Fecal Face kids headed down to LA to check out the incredible collaborative art space of Souther Salazar, Megan Whitmarsh, Carlos Ramos, Mark Todd, Esther Pearl Watson, Seonna Hong, and Martha Rich. After looking through the photos and the work of all the artists, I feel pretty lazy.
Cool studio.
Mini-sculptures by Souther Salazar.
The work of Martha Rich.
JUST A REMINDER...
No matter how crazy life gets, how bad the economy gets, how stressful work gets... I just want everyone to know that there is nothing more important to me than my girl, my family and my friends. The rest is just filler.
The Suburban Home Records party last night reminded me how many great people I have in my life. I wanna thank you all. Also, today is my 1 year anniversary of living in Denver and I love it here... especially because I have Chelsea with me.

WANNA GRAB A DRINK?...
Chelsea just sent me these ads and they are awesome! The basis is What goes through your mind when someone says, "Let's go for a drink."? Enjoy.
ANTHONY LISTER AT 5024SF...
Check out the preview on Fecal Face of the upcoming show at 5024SF by Australian artist Anthony Lister. Looks pretty damn fresh. Wish I was there to check it out.

SNUGGIE-LICIOUS...
Check out Virgil in his fresh new Snuggie, the hottest craze with the kids nowadays. Well, not only does Virgil look like a big gay wizard... he is also on SnuggieSightings.com!! Awesome.
MAN ABOUT TOWN...
Check out the latest Fecal Face blog post "Life is a Rehearsal" from Mr. Andrew Scott of the world-famous (and always-awesome) Needles & Pens, the best zine shop in the universe. He's a good dude with a great insight into the world.
STARTING A FIRE...
Take your most vivid childhood dream and combine it with your darkest nightmare... what you'll find is the work of James Jean. The young master of the eye is back with a new solo show titled "Kindling" at Jonathan Levine. The subject matter reaches a little farther and more experimental than before... and it may be his best yet. Every time I look at his work, I find more and more inside it. Congratulations, sir.
To see photos of the installation, check out Fecal Face.
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
"I love Jesus, but I drink a little."
I don't watch the Ellen show, but I found this on Facebook. It's a little long, but worth the watch. So good.
